Lavinia Hoskins was the owner and proprietor of the La Fayette House on Water Street in Shullsburg. She was born in Mineral Point and her father came to Shullsburg in 1841 and built the La FaYette House. He passed away in 1847 and her mother died in 1876. Both her parents were from Cornwall England
