Michael Tierney groceries and hardware Shullsburg was born Nov. 15, 1827 in Ireland. He came to Shullsburg in 1854 after having worked in mines in Copper harbor since 1850. In Shullsburg he bought 80 acres and commenced farming which land he afterwards sold. As of 1881 he owned 228 acres, his store, dwelling, and other property he accumulated since coming to Shullsburg. He married Bridget Fleming from Ireland in May 1850 and they had 3 children: Michael, Ellen and Edward ( from page 741 History of Lafayette Co. 1881)
