Support Badger Mine and Museum

"Beginning in the 1950's history focus started giving voice to the ordinary citizen. Badger Mine and Museum is filled with historical gems about Wisconsin pioneers and is the museum of "the common man". James Hibbard, Curator Southwest Wisconsin Room, University of Wisconsin-Platteville

"Shullsburg is a jewel. It's a beautiful place, in a picturesque landscape. An intact historic downtown like Shullsburg's is created through a unique combination of time and place. There is nothing like it anywhere..." Jim Draeger, Architectural Historic Preservation Officer, Wisconsin Historical Society

“Badger Mine and Museum offers a unique primitive lead mine tour and also has a wonderful collection of memorabilia from Shullsburg’s colorful history.” Wayne McDermott- Exhibits coordinator, Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium

Come experience Shullsburg with your family. Children's programming is now in place at the museum. Guided museum and mine tours for adults are scheduled daily on the half hour. "Hats of Heritage Trail", the children's tour, is scheduled at 2:15 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
